“Not all storms come to disrupt your life. Some come to clear your path.” – Paulo Coelho
About
How are we to step forward in faith when the way is not clear? What does it mean to live with authentic, compassionate integrity? Is there a space beyond absolutes that offers only security?
By sharing my own stories through Dispatches, by asking others to share their own experiences at critical points in their lives through Three Questions, and by creating space for others to tell of their own explorations in "You Write" Submissions, I invite you to step into your own inward journey.
Welcome to the Invisible Map, an online publication dedicated to helping you uncover your own unique path.
May you find this site to be a resource as you contemplate how you may step forward with courage and with heart. The first step is always within. The path unfolds from there.

My Own Story
I celebrated the occasion of my fifth decade on Earth alone on a plateau in Death Valley as part of a guided solo fast. For two days, I was hounded by wind and rain. On the third day, after a night of ridicule by every demon inside, I crawled out of my tent, broken, wanting only to leave that place behind. But then, as the sun rose, so did I. There I stood, facing east and the Last Chance Mountains. I reached up and gave my hand to that Divine Mystery, always present yet never to be wholly known, whom I simply call God. – BLR
